Huntsman and Hounds, Althorne, EssexMichelle Harris writes to us to say: "We have stayed at the Huntsman and Hounds in Althorne, Essex on several occasions. The field is large and flat with about 8 electric hook ups. The pub itself is 19 century I think? They do great meals at a reasonable price. The landlord Jim is very helpful and cannot do enough for you. You have to use the pub toilets and these are open 24 hours. The shower block could be updated but it is a small block of four showers all together which everybody uses and a key can be obtained from Jim for a minimal charge. The area itself is nice with lots of walking and not too far away from the coast."
